Come if you bleed,
once did, or care about someone who does.

Bloody Beautiful is a one-day creative festival that explores the magical, messy and often-misunderstood worlds of menstruation and menopause. Expect bold talks, art, performances, technology and design that reimagines the future of women’s healthcare. We’re not here to whisper about cycles—we’re here to reframe the conversation entirely.

Speaker and programme details will be announced in the coming weeks.

Why Come?

Because you want to create impact.
Because you crave real talk, not taboos.
Because you want to meet other creative minds reshaping women’s health.
Because you like your inspiration with a shot of truth.
Because blood isn’t icky – silence is.

So, What is
Bloody Beautiful?

Bloody Beautiful is a creative movement aimed at normalising conversations about menstruation and menopause. Through research, art and dialogue, we break down the shame and stigma tied to menstruation and menopause.

It’s a movement. It’s a mindset. It’s a space where bleeding is not hidden, but celebrated.

Started by affect lab, Bloody Beautiful brings together artists, designers, researchers, and the public to explore how we talk about (and design for) cycles and transitions that half the world goes through. Bloody Beautiful challenges norms and builds new cultural narratives around periods and menopause—through stories, science, humour and heart.

Who’s Coming?

The curious, the bold, the change-makers.
You’ll be in good company—with cultural researchers, sociologists, designers, artists, municipal innovators, healthcare professionals, HR thinkers, activists, and even the occasional insurance disruptor.

If you’re reinventing the way we think, feel and talk about menstruation and menopause—this is your crowd.

Bloody Beautiful welcomes women, trans, and non-binary people—and anyone curious about or impacted by menstrual and menopausal experiences. Whether you bleed, used to bleed, or want to support those who do, this space is for you.

We would love
to see you there.
